桑野先生が博士号をとった場所 Imperial College London の Visited Geotechnics Section を訪問しました。Ken Vinck 博士に研究室をご案内いただいた後、Richard Jardine 教授とKen Vinck 博士と記念撮影をしていただきました。
We visited Visited Geotechnics Section, Imperial College London, in which Prof. Kuwano received a doctoral degree. Dr. Ken Vinck guided us through the laboratory, and after that we took a photo with him and Prof. Richard Jardine.
一見すると我々とは異なる試験装置を使っているようでしたが、どうにか工夫して自分たちの研究を実現する試験装置を作ろうという思想は、共通のものだと感じました。
At a first glance, they seemed to using apparatus different from ours, but soon we noticed that we and they in common have a thought where one manages to devise a apparatus which can realize one’s research.
イギリスでは、かのフィッシュアンドチップスを食べ、イギリスのビールやサイダーを飲み、楽しい旅を満喫しました。
In the UK, we ate the famous fish & chips, drank beer and cider, which made our trip enjoyable.
