On Aug. 25-26, we again conducted a field survey in Mt.Ontake.
On the first day, we went to see the Ontake Collapse(御嶽崩れ), one of the largest slope failures in Japan.
On the second day, we went to Ontake Kogen to discover the suitable area for the survey. We found a site with interesting volcanic deposits.
Both days the weather was fine and we were able to conduct a productive survey. We plan to conduct a more detailed survey in the next year.
現場が広いと、調査する場所を探すことから大変そう…
