This time, Sugano and Hu participated in the 4th International Joint Student Seminar on OHOW at AIT university.
The seminar was held at the AIT university conference center and lots of students and professors in UTokyo, SIT, AIT attended.今回は、菅野とHuが、AIT大学で開催された第4回「One Health, One World（OHOW）」国際合同学生セミナーに参加しました。セミナーはAIT大学のカンファレンスセンターで行われ、東京大学、芝浦工業大学、そしてアジア工科大学の多くの学生や先生方が参加しました。
On the day of the seminar, all the students presented their recent studies in various fields related to “One Health, One World”. In particular, the topic on the evaluation of the 2025 Myanmar earthquake became a highlight, due to the severe damage to essential infrastructure. After the seminar, both Sugano and Hu received the Best Presentation Award.セミナー当日、学生たちは「One Health, One World」に関するさまざまな分野での最新の研究成果を発表しました。特に、2025年ミャンマー地震の被害評価に関する発表は、基幹インフラへの甚大な被害があったことから、大きな注目を集めました。セミナー終了後、菅野と胡二人ども「優秀発表賞」を受賞しました。
In the evening, we went to the golf course at AIT with students from UTokyo, SIT, and AIT.(Yes, they do have a golf course in the campus! (；ﾟДﾟ)) The traditional Thai food was really delicious, but incredibly spicy!夜は、東京大学、SIT、AITの学生たちと一緒にAIT内のゴルフ場へ行きました。（そうです、ゴルフ場あります！(；ﾟДﾟ)）伝統的なタイ料理は本当に美味しかったのですが、ものすごく辛かったです！
The day after the seminar was reserved for a technical tour. We visited the construction site of the Special Highway No.82 Bangkhun Thian–Ban Phaeo Elevated Expressway, which is currently under construction. We were able to clearly observe the differences in construction site management. The on-site technicians taught us a lot about the characteristics of construction in Thailand, and we learned a great deal.セミナーの翌日は、技術見学ツアーが行われました。私たちは、建設中の特別高速道路82号線バンクンティアン～バンパオ高架高速道路の現場を見学しました。現場管理の方法の違いを、実際に強く感じることができました。現場の技術者の方々から、タイにおける建設現場の特徴について多くのことを教えていただき、大変勉強になりました。
After lunch, we visited Na Satta Thai Park and even took a boat to the floating market. It was our first time experiencing the beauty of a tropical rainforest.昼食の後、ナ・サッタ・タイパークを訪れ、さらにボートで水上マーケットにも行きました。熱帯雨林の美しさを体験するのは、私たちにとって初めてのことでした。
On the third day, we attended the UTokyo Alumni Seminar & Party in Bangkok, where we met many alumni living in Thailand and heard lots of interesting stories from their past. 3日目は、バンコクで開催された東京大学同窓会セミナー＆パーティーに参加し、タイ在住の多くの卒業生とお会いし、昔の楽しいエピソードをたくさん伺いました。
On the last day, we visited Thailand’s World Cultural Heritage site, Wat Mahathat (meaning “Temple of the Great Relic”), as well as the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace.The broken Buddha statues and magnificent palaces gave us a sense of the rise and fall of past eras.最終日には、タイの世界文化遺産であるワット・マハタート（「偉大な遺物の寺」という意味）とバンパイン宮殿を訪れました。壊れた仏像や壮麗な宮殿を目にし、過去の栄華と衰退を肌で感じることができました。
We gained a great deal from this trip to Thailand and look forward to the next one!!
