Prof Reiko Kuwano, Senior Cooperator Jiro Kuwano,M2 students Akira Sato, Kazuki Kuwashiro, Shotaro Hijikata, and D2 student Yutaro Hara attended 7th International Conference on Geotechnical and Geophysical Site Characterization (ISC’7) held in Barcelona, Spain on June 18-21. We had constructive discussions with researchers and students all over the world, especially from European countries which would help promoting our research activities.

Between conferences, we went to see the Sagrada Familia, which was awaiting completion, and enjoyed Spanish food and wine. The Mediterranean climate and the historical architecture filled our hearts and stomachs.
Fortunately, We could meet Associate Professor Kyokawa, who was a senior lecturer at Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Tokyo until 2022 and was Hijikata’s previous advisor.
