Prof. Koseki’s Final Lecture

3月7日に古関先生の最終講義が行われました。

Professor Koseki’s final lecture was held on March 7.

古関先生は2014年まで生産技術研究所で、その後は本郷の土質地盤研究室で、液状化を中心に地盤工学に関するさまざまな研究を実施されました。

桑野研のスタッフや学生は、現地または対面で古関先生の東大での研究活動についての最終講義を拝聴しました。

古関先生は、要素試験はもちろん、地盤工学の幅広い分野に精通しておられ、桑野研の学生も古関先生にいつも的確なアドバイスを頂いていました。

古関先生、ご退官おめでとうございます。今までご指導いただきありがとうございました。

そして、これからもよろしくお願いいたします。

Professor Koseki carried out various studies on geotechnical engineering, mainly liquefaction, at the Institute of Industrial Science until 2014 and then at the Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory in Hongo.

Kuwano Lab staff and students listened to Prof Koseki’s final lecture on his research activities at the University of Tokyo, either on site or in person.

Prof Koseki was well versed in a wide range of geotechnical engineering fields, especially element tests, and Kuwano Lab students always received good advice from Prof Koseki.

Prof Koseki, congratulations on your retirement. Thank you for all the guidance you have given us.
